Small Knife and rawhide sheath with raccoon jaw
handle |
Just a few of my earl attempts
NOTE: making the large blades over 3"
takes a lot of ROCK and as a rule
they BREAK a the last minute so you have
two - three smaller items or just gravel! |
Some of the Other item I have been building
from leather - fur - horn - bone - metal. |
Little arrow head from the bottom of an EMPTY
beer bottle -- Real Rolling Rock! |
Chipping a small bird point --- from a LARGE
rock
as a starting point! |
You can see the stone I started with bellow... |
This is one of the Moose antler billets I use
in thinning and shaping the stones or cracking
into
GRAVEL! |
Close-up -- NOTE the tarp below too catch
all the chips -- They are small and all SHARP
Flint and the other stone used is like GLASS
so the debris is HAZARDOUS waste! |
One of the Copper billets I use - just a copper
pipe filled with lead and a rounded cap. |
Arrow head shafted and mounted with
waxed sinew on a shaft in a turkey
bone and mounted on a marble slab stand. |
Just a few of other things:
starting on the left is a hoko knife < Mounted
flake>
center a 3.5" point
little foot looking thing is a cattail shredder
to make rope
right side is a BONE point hefted in rawhide
